Following the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 edition, Game On Wales are proud to host the 5th annual Game On Wales Walking Football Championship in 2021.
For the first time we've introduced a 70+ age category and a women's tournament - a great 'welcome back' to walking football in Wales.
For 2021 we return to the fabulous facilities at University of South Wales Sport Park. This prestigious event celebrates all good things walking football in Wales and is open to all community and club walking football teams throughout Wales (no affiliation required).

Team / Tournament Information
• Players must be aged 50+ 60+ 70+ on the day of competition; for the women's competition participants must be aged 40+.
• Matches are 6-a-side with a maximum squad size of 9 players per team.
• Mixed gender teams are welcome.
• Teams must compete under FA Walking Football rules. A practical demonstration will be provided prior to kick-off. A link to the rules can be found here: https://www.thefa.com/news/2018/oct/08/walking-football-revised-laws-of-the-game-081018
• If entering more than one team, players will not be permitted to switch between teams.
• Match duration is likely to be 15 minutes per game, utilising either full size or 3/4 (samba) size goals.
Due to COVID regulations we are unfortunately unable to welcome any spectators this year and the event is subject to Welsh Government and FAW restrictions / compliance. There will be no changing facilities available - so please turn up changed and ready to play. Toilets will be available.
Facility Information
• The Tournament will be played across USW's fantastic outdoor 4G artificial pitch (opened Jan 2020) and Indoor Barn 3G (air flow system operational). You must ensure that your wear clean footwear and kit. No 'blades' or screw in studs of any description are allowed. Only training shoes suitable for 3G pitches or moulded boots are acceptable.
• Light refreshments (vending) available to purchase on site.
• Plenty of free parking directly on site.
Team Registration is only via our online booking system: Sport Reg.
Entry Fee: £50 per team paid online in advance.
Entry Fee subsidies referee, venue and trophy costs.
Game On Wales is the sport programme delivered by The Coalfields Regeneration Trust - Charity no: 1074930 - an organisation that champions and strengthens Coalfield Communities.

How we will use the information: The information will be used to deliver Game On, monitor the success of the programme and help us plan future activities. Sensitive information is collected for health and safety and to ensure that the programme is targeting the right people. Statistical data will be created from this information to support future funding bids. Your details will be stored securely. Data will not be shared with any third parties.
