Saturday 6th of May will see teams from across the region converge on Roberts Park a World Heritage Site to “Race the Dragon” on the River Aire. it is hoped that each team member will do there best to raise £50 for the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2017 Charity: YoungMinds
The day will be a fun filled family festival with gripping, adrenaline fueled dragon boat racing on the river a spectacle not to be missed. Landside attractions for all to enjoy with children’s entertainment, charity stalls, catering stands, landside games, bar and much more.
* It's a great social 'team building' experience
* No previous experience is required – full safety training is provided before the start of your first race
* All the boats and race equipment is provided by Race the Dragon Ltd we also provide a marquee for each team - just bring some spare dry clothes in case you get wet
* Up to 20 persons in a team, but a maximum team of 17 (16 paddlers plus a drummer) per race
* Each team has a minimum of 3 races, the fastest teams will race head to head in the grand final
* 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies, winners set of medals up for Grabs, who will be the Champions of Bradford 2017
